ACROS

ARCHITECTURE FOR CORE ROBOTIC OFFWORLD SYSTEMS

Test until it breaks.
Know the limits.

ACROS is the failure-driven qualification and integration architecture behind CelestiQ. It moves systems through increasingly unforgiving environments before human survival is allowed to depend on them.

01

THE ACROS DOCTRINE

Working once proves little.
Failure reveals the envelope.

ACROS does not test whether a system works. It drives the system beyond its intended operating range until the upper and lower limits, cascade behavior and recovery paths are known.

NOMINAL is not the destination.
NOMINAL is the operating condition. Always.

THE HUMAN CONSEQUENCE

No experiments
after departure.

A human mission to Mars is a 1,000+ day survival operation. Unknown system limits cannot travel with the crew. What leaves Earth must already have been pressure-tested, radiation-tested, fatigue-tested, failure-tested and recovered inside known margins.

THE ACROS FRAMEWORK

Not a roadmap.
A chain of permission.

ACROS does not move forward because a date has arrived. It moves when the previous environment has produced enough evidence to make the next one survivable.

Read the phases from left to right. Each introduces a harder operating condition, exposes new limits and returns engineering evidence. Only a controlled, recoverable system earns passage.

01ENVIRONMENTWhere reality changes
02STRESSWhat the system must absorb
03EVIDENCEWhat operation proves
04PERMISSIONWhat may happen next

NO PHASE ERASES RISK. EACH PHASE CONVERTS UNKNOWN RISK INTO KNOWN OPERATING LIMITS.

THE ACROS SPINE

Reality increases
from left to right.

Scroll to move the architecture through its qualification environments. Each phase inherits the evidence — and the unresolved limits — of the phase before it.

ACROS has no final destination. Every proven capability becomes the starting condition for the next reach.

ENGINEERING DOMAINS

Every discipline crosses
every environment.

The phases are not separate missions. They are changing test environments through which the same coupled technical disciplines must mature together.

THE ACROS GATE

Distance is earned
with evidence.

01 The failure boundary is known.

02 Degraded operation remains controlled.

03 Recovery occurs inside measured margins.

04 Interfaces do not transfer hidden failure.

05 The next environment adds stress — not uncertainty.

08+ / THE OPEN REACH

Deep Space is not
a destination.

It is the question of why humanity continues when distance becomes an operating condition and no celestial body offers a ready-made home.

01 / WHEN

TIMELINE

Every reach must belong to a credible sequence of capabilities — not to a date chosen before the engineering exists.

02 / HOW

TECHNICAL

Physics, energy, logistics, maintenance and human survival must form an achievable architecture across the entire distance.

03 / WHY

PURPOSE

Exploration, continuity or expansion may justify the step. Mere distance, imagined markets and available resources do not.

POSSIBILITY IS NOT A ROADMAP.   RESOURCES ARE NOT YET AN ECONOMY.   DISTANCE IS NOT A PURPOSE.

We do not reject the distant future.
We require it to earn its place in the architecture.

ACROS / CONTINUOUS QUALIFICATION ARCHITECTURE

Test until it breaks.
Know every limit.
Operate nominal. Always.

THRIEVEACROS

THRIEVE exposes failure on Earth. ACROS carries that discipline through orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond.
